Glamorgan

Glamorgan Manor sits within historic horse country in rural Caroline County, Virginia. Originally established in 1851, Glamorgan was bought by Lea Ann Hansen and Mike Stanford in 1998 as a private horse farm. Since that date Glamorgan has expanded its facilities and services offering Dressage clinics, training, sporthorse breeding, and equine veterinary services.

Less than 2 miles from Glamorgan is Meadow Farm, the birthplace of Secretariat, arguably one of the world’s most famous thoroughbred racehorses. In 2007, Meadow Farm will be the new home of the Virginia State Fair and the Virginia Museum of the Horse. In addition to hosting the Strawberry Hill steeplechase races, the grounds of the Meadow will have a large indoor stadium, a covered arena, as well as several outdoor arenas for equine events.
